Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha got on lease from Waqf Board of Punjab, practically a pond of filthy water. Thanks to the hard work put in by our ancestors and blessings of Sh. 1008, Sant Gurucharan Dass ji Maharaj, it could be possible to start Gita Vidya Mandir School in two rooms in the year 1972. The school was started primarily to educate the relatively poor and mariginalised section of society and was run on Charitable basis. Later on, it developed into GVM Sr Sec School which enjoyed a great reputation in its peak days. It produced a large number of students of high caliber in society. It also provided a foundation for the establishment of G.V.M. Girls college on its first floor, which today is a premier A-Graded Institution of Haryana. I express my thanks to the society for giving me the opportunity to serve the institution.

Covid-19 proved a big debacle. Though every possible effort was made to deliver goods online, yet the fact remains that the justice could not be done to the student community. Now the tide is over. Our students, the dedicated staff and of course management have gird up their lions to give a big push and leave no stone unturned for the all reound development of personality of students. Not academic excellence alone, rather all extracurricular activities have to be taken care of. Our teachers are requested to work with a team spirit to develop our students into the self responsible citizens of tomorrow.

I would like to advice the students to work hard, as hard work alone is the way to success not only in exams but in all the fields of life.
